The mission of the Project is to: i. Develop and support a package manager for diverse computing environments that simplifies development, integration, and deployment of all types of high performance software; ii. Build a generalized, flexible software model to easily support new packages, toolchains, languages, and platforms; iii. Maintain a comprehensive, secure software distribution, including source recipes; and iv. Eliminate barriers to adoption and promote contribution to Spack and its software ecosystem
