AI Readiness

All banks have mature processes for on-boarding technology, however, (Generative) AI presents some new challenges that the existing processes may not be well-suited to addressing. Without going into the details, there is much work needed to allow the 'safe' use of AI (where safety considers both the customer and the bank) and ultimately allow FS organisations to rapidly adopt new technologies as they emerge.

CatchIT

Goldman Sachs has developed a simple yet powerful framework called CatchIT that can be easily integrated with CI/CD and provide information about confidential security violations in JSON output in stdout. It leverages the linux commands grep and find, so that the scanner has very low execution time. We have a predefined list of regular expressions for common sensitive files and secrets found in code which can be easily extended. The regexes have been created keeping in mind the rate of false positives.

opengris

penGRIS will specify a definition for compute payloads for routing to compute backends. This definition will include elements which have come up in discussion with FinOS members (Intel, Nvidia, IBM and AWS) and can include directives for GPU and wide Vector instructions. openGRIS will also specify policies which can define how those payloads are routed to various compute backends. These policies can have time and cost preferences. Finally, the definition of backends will be left out of the scope of the initial standard but the standard can be later expanded to definition and categorization of compute backends.
